Welcome to The Humber Teaching School and our alliance; a partnership of schools and institutions sharing our skills, experience, talent and capacity to help improve outcomes and the learning experience for young people across Yorkshire and the Humber.*

Our alliance consists of schools and institutions from across all phases (Primary, Secondary, Post-16 and Special) and from inner city locations to rural contexts, who work together within The Humber Teaching School Alliance (TSA).

The Humber TSA includes all those schools who benefit by receiving support, as well as strategic partners who lead on certain aspects of delivery. The Humber Teaching School is well placed to respond to the challenges for school improvement. The potential we have to provide outstanding experience for colleagues working in the education profession is in its widest sense, which gives us the opportunity to make a significant contribution to this initiative. Our ambition for The Teaching School is that it will enable us to accelerate the improvement in pupil outcomes through developing the workforce and leading system wide change for school improvement.

The Humber TSA has a track record of highly successful school improvement programmes; working with National Leaders of Education, Local Leaders of Education and Specialist Leaders of Education. This brings a wealth of expertise and experience across the Humber region, to provide the capacity to:

  • Support all phases of education to improve outcomes for our learners
  • Develop and sustain high quality teaching, learning and assessment
  • Develop high quality leadership
  • Provide a progressive continuum of professional development from ITT to leadership
  • Support and develop business processes including finance and academy conversion
